Dr. Laura Mitchell is the wife of Minister H. James Mitchell. They reside in Riverside, Texas a small town north of Houston, Texas. They are the proud parents of four children Jermaine, Thurston, LaTonya, and Krystal and one son-in-love, Chad. They have several grandchildren, Kearia, Isaiah, Thurston Jr., Chasmin, Arianna, Lauren, Chadrick, Chase, Jada, Chance, Chandler and Fabian whom they love dearly.

Dr. Laura attended public school in Houston, Texas and attended the University of Houston. She graduated from Lakewood Bible School and New Light Bible Institute. She received ordination in the Healing Ministry from the "City of Light” under Charles and Frances Hunter. She received her Doctorate Degree in Biblical Studies from Christian Bible Institute & Seminary. She is a Licensed Ordained Pastor of the Gospel and a Certified Christian Counselor. She retired from the Houston Fire Department after 25 years of service to pursue her calling in ministry.

Dr. Laura inspirationally motivates and charismatically uplifts all those she touches, whether she is operating in her gifts as a wife, mother, grandmother, preacher, mentor, motivator, lecturer, or educator. Dr. Laura is the author of two books and has graced the stage of many conferences. As a Christian Counselor, Dr. Laura has ministered to women about sexual and physical abuse for years. She founded the “S.I.T. Moment”, a Story Is Told Moment of inspirational stories from the Bible. The S.I.T. Moment can be heard on Facebook. The anointing on her life has created unique opportunities to collaborate her ministerial and professional experience in both the religious and professional sectors for over 25 years. Her day to day tasks in her role are extensive, multi-functional, and ever changing. However, she still finds time to balance her career, spiritual calling, and the caring for her family.

Dr. Laura’s passion is for others to develop a personal, intimate relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She is truly a woman of faith, prayer and perseverance.
